SAY NO TO GLYCERIN
Most commercial natural toothpaste is made using vegetable glycerin as it's main ingredient. It's what gives it body and consistency. While it's true that glycerin is natural, it creates a thin barrier over teeth that can cause demineralization and oral disease.
FOR THOSE WITH BAKING SODA SENSITIVITY
Many people can not tolerate high amounts of baking soda in their toothpaste. This is because a sudden change of pH in the mouth leads to irritation. We make sure that our Natural Toothpaste is low in baking soda and high in quick-acting gentle cleansers like diatomaceous earth and bentonite clay.
We send an empty 1 oz. glass jar with the purchase of a 2 oz. jar or larger.
We do not use synthetic stabilizers or waxes. As a result, our delicate natural products packaged in glass jars are sensitive to temperature changes. During warm weather, products may soften or even melt as they sit in warm mail trucks, mailboxes, or on front porches.
Since melting is a natural reaction to heat and we have no control over the conditions during transit or delivery, please understand that we cannot be responsible for melted products. We cannot accept returns or issue refunds for melted products.
WHAT TO DO ABOUT MELTING
On sunny or warm days, BEFORE opening the jars or tins, place the items in your refrigerator for an hour to allow them to harden, just in case they have melted in transit. Sit at room temperature and mix back in any oil that may have separated.
The quality and healing properties of our products are not affected by melting.
